Some universities offer online verification facility for certficates issued by them .If your University is in the below link, you are lucky because your attestation becomes very fast and easy. No need to send your certificate to concern university for verification.

All you have to follow these steps  :

Step 1 :  Enter Your university online Verification link.

Step 2  : Select the required Document Type name with prefix ” Tamil Nadu Secretariat / HRD Attestation” and fill all the relevant details.
Step 3 : Sign up / Sign In to the Docs wallet account with the user mail id.

Step 4 : You will receive a request confirmation mail after the online payment .

Step 5 : When the university completes the verification, you will receive another mail informing to login and access the verified document with footnote from Docs wallet account.

Step 6 : Please download the verified document by clicking the “Download” button at right side of the summary screen.

Step 7: Please make sure you have the Reference No at bottom of the Certificate as shown below.

Step 8 : Take a  Print out  of the verified certificate and submit to the secretariat along with the original certificates to complete your HRD Attestation.

Secretariat will attest your original Certificate, based on the reference number provided in the foot note . It will take one or two weeks to complete the process. If you request they may issue your attested certificate on same day also.

After receiving hrd certificate , you may get another attestation like. MEA, Apostille or embassy attestation as per your employer country requirements .

The term HRD stands for Human Resource Development. However, if you have done your graduation from central universities like  IIT , then the procedure is slightly different. In the beginning, you will be sending your original Tamilnadu degree certificate, passport copy, photographs to the designated HRD authority in Tamilnadu. You have to fix a slot with  them depending on their convenience. This is a difficult job , since government procedures are very slow. Take the assistance of an authorized agency in this regard . Next, the Tamilnadu HRD authorities after getting your certificate, will verify the information from the concerned university in Tamilnadu. The Government of United Arab Emirates requires all personal and educational certificates, academic of professional, to be issued from Tamilnadu to be attested by Consulate or Embassy in UAE. Qatar Attestation – New Regulations 2017– New Procedure for verification / Bonafide Certificate Complulsory for Education Certificate :

There has been a major change in the document attestation process for Embassy of State of Qatar located in India for Tamilnadu Students. Earlier the Embassy required a bonafide letter from University / Institute in a normal format which now is changed to a very complicated one. One can appreciate the intention behind this which is to curb the fake documents that some candidates may carry for their employment. However for a bonafide candidate the process has become much harder especially if she / he is located elsewhere and there is no one back home to take care of all the documentation needs.

All individuals who want to get their educational documents attested from the Embassy of the State of Qatar should note that Degree/diploma should be along with its Final year/ Consolidated Marks sheet and verification from the concerned university or institute and verification letter should contain the following information:

1: Authenticity of the certificate,
2: Study System (Admission-Full Time – Part time),
3: Venue of study and Examination.
4: Type of Degree Obtained (Diploma , Bachelor-Master or ( Doctorate Degree )
5: Duration of course and duration spend to obtain this certificate.
6: Academy is whether Tamilnadu government institute or private.
7: Academy’s Standard at the time of obtaining the said Certificate from
the institution in Tamilnadu.

Without above mention information no document will be accepted for the attestation by the Embassy of the State of Qatar. This new regulation has been in place since June 2016 first week 9few days back).
This is causing lot of issues for those who had already applied for bonafide / verification letters to their university / institutes as per old format which was applicable earlier. But the embassy seems to be very firm about the new regulations and any deviation from above 7 points is not accepted for document submission.
Some suggestions about getting the Qatar Embassy Attestation from Tamilnadu,India:
Many a times the Institute / colleges are easier to get the required verification letter than the university. So it’s always better to approach the college first and get your letter in required format. You can submit the notice from Embassy to college so that they shall give letter in required format for genuine purposes.

Once you get the letter, also remember that final year mark sheet is equally important for Qatar attestation. Qatar Embassy does not entertain attestation request for educational documents without final year mark sheet.

Once you collect all the documents it has to be attested first by Notary and Home department (where you completed the degree), followed by MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) and then finally the Qatar Embassy.
Therefore if one has to do hassle free Apostille attestation without much trouble its advisable to find a good agency which is approved by Government and has good market reputation, then hand over the job to them.

In this case you need to follow following process. Apply for bonafide letter / certificate to your college / University as applicable. Once you obtain the same then submit your bonafide letter along with the Xerox copy of original attested certificate (front + back) for Embassy attestation (no need to submit the original degree certificate document again). This may take 7 – 10 working days as the process is same again for bonafide i.e. Notary, Home dept, MEA and Embassy.

The job of obtaining the bonafide letter / certificate has to be done by candidates or their close relatives only.
